Canción para inventar la indiferencia o deslizar pausadamente la mirada

Los poemas de El oficio de Penélope, de Sonia Garza Rapport (1987), son un sistema de asociaciones y connotaciones que cobran sentido aun con el paso del tiempo, porque se tejen y destejen, es decir, se renuevan ante ojos nuevos.

 Abrir un surco en la tierra 

A mediados de la década de los años ochenta resultaba complicado visualizar a la poesía femenina en Monterrey. A mi parecer esos años son el comienzo del despunte de algunas autoras que con el tiempo se insertarían a esta actividad de una manera más recurrente, más mediática y más profesional.

Sin embargo, cabe destacar a una autora que en esa época despuntaba ya con un tercer libro de poemas, que además aparecía en la prestigiosa editorial Diana, con un prólogo de Carmen Alardín e ilustraciones de José Luis Cuevas.

Alardín destaca: “Sonya Garza sabe mirar y seleccionar la belleza, que es capaz de elegir la parte de la realidad que corresponde a sus deseos para expresar lo que siente y lo que vive, para resentir lo que habrá de sentir.

Afanes contenidos en silencio
heridas sueños, cantos:
soy una de tantas
un símbolo abierto.
Yo no soy el silencio acostumbrado
ni la acción simulada
que imita al compañero
estoy entre unas y otras.
Grito mis afanes que en silencio contengo:
yo quiero que me escuches
que con mis sueños vibres
y conmigo deshagas el tiempo

Todo lo que en verso he sentido

La poesía nos da la oportunidad de encontrar cosas que no estábamos buscando, y si a eso le sumamos el afán de tejer y destejer el hilo de las palabras, el poema aparecerá perfecto, más que en su hechura en los efectos colaterales que cause al lector y al escritor.

La autora en rebeldía abierta o en absoluta concordancia con su destino cumple su oficio: sentir, gritar sus afanes, albergar en la memoria lo real y hacerlo más real al escribirlo, al contarlo.

El viento lleva murmullos
que cortan la madrugada.
La bruma llora en silencio.
Almohadas humedecidas forman las nubes
para que el alma descanse.

La belleza de existir

 Me quiero quedar con esa idea de quien decide hacer de la poesía un modo de comunicar, -la idea es estar comprometido con la belleza-. Sonya lo estaba en ese entonces y lo está ahora (me consta, porque nos lo sigue comunicando). Los poemas de El oficio de Penélope son un sistema de asociaciones y connotaciones que cobran sentido aun con el paso del tiempo, porque se tejen y destejen, es decir, se renuevan ante ojos nuevos.

Las aproximaciones al mundo que Garza Rapport hizo en ese entonces se quedan en la historia de la poesía regiomontana. Empezaban los despuntes de la poesía en sí, de las ediciones que vendrían pocos años después. Sonya erigió parte de los cimientos y lo hizo fiel a su estilo construyendo hermosas columnas con sus palabras.
